ABSTRACT SIGNATURE TAG

For this tutorial you will need Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 or  9.  You can download a 30 day free trial of PSP 9 here.

Two of Virtual painter's filters are included in your copy of PSP 8 if you have the mailed version and not the downloaded version.

A graphic of your choice,  the more colorful the better. Or you can use mine below. Just right click and save to your computer. 

 

1.  Open your graphic and duplicate (shift - D).  Close your original

 

2.  If graphic is larger than 250 X 250 Resize it.

3.  Apply Virtual Painter/Collage Filter  (Effects/virtual painter/college)

Note: If  you do not like the background being used by Virtual Painter  click on the adjust button then right click on material graphic in lower left corner of screen and a new screen will open with the different background styles available.

I have mine set for cork.

4.   Click on preview. 

If you don't like the collage you can adjust it at this step.

5.     Click on adjust.
This screen will open up
.

You can play with the different settings until your happy with your abstract painting.

6.  Go to image/add frame/Edge round 03.
Be sure that frame inside of the image is checked.

Click ok.

7.  At this point you should have something that looks like this.

8.  Add a new raster layer.  Name it text.

9.  Click on text tool.  Use the following settings:

Vector
Font of your choice, size 30
Stroke wide 0
Anti - alias checked
Alignment centered.

10. Adjust your text to your liking.
You should now have a sig tag like the one below.

 

NOTE:

  If you are going to use the sig tag on different colored backgrounds
then it will need to be made into a transparent gif.
