Keep On Keeping On

Hello!!!

My name is Mary. I'm also known as Mary Bear. The title of this page is based on a philosophy of mine. No matter what life throws at you, you need to
KEEP ON KEEPING ON.

Now a little about myself and my family.

My husband Jim & I will celebrate our 43rdwedding anniversary on December 23, 2004.  And they said it wouldn't last. We have been blessed with three lovely children and six fabulous grandchildren and on August 28, 2004 we were doubly blessed with a great granddaughter Jasmine Renee.

Our daughter Holly is the mother of two children, Tabitha  and Lee. She is married to a wonderful guy named Tom.  Her daughter Tabitha married Joseph in April 2003.  She is the mother of Jasmine Renee

We also had two sons.  We lost Shawn on March 26, 2000 at the age of 35 to endocarditis. He left behind a son. You can view his memorial page by clicking here.

Our youngest Son, Jim (Scooter) is a rig electrician and his wife Pam works at a local hospital in the education department.  They have two sons, Zack   and Justin.  Jim also has a daughter by a previous marriage, Kirsten.

My life has really changed since I last updated this page.  I am now medically retired from a local 2 yr. college where I was a counselor and coordinator of a Single Parent Program,

I enjoy designing web sites and the graphics for them. I also have a new hobby of machine embroidery.  things that use to take me days to finish are now finished in minutes.  I still enjoy taking classes and now I take them over the internet instead of in a classroom setting. I feel that you're never too old to learn something new.

I love Bears, any size, shape or type of bear. My office is full of bears that  my family, friends and students have given me over the years. I have bought a few myself though. I also have a lot of ..yep..you guessed it...Beanie Babies, Attic Treasures and bears from the Ty Bear Den collection. I enjoy games of all kinds, Bingo, Spades, Hearts, and lately I've been enjoying the treasure hunts found throughout the net. I'm even working on a treasure hunt of my very own at this time. So be sure to check back later if you enjoy games.

Well, that's enough about me for now. On the next page is a poem that was written for me by a former student.  Just click on the next button. Then after that is my photo album. I hope you enjoy the rest of your visit to Mary Bear's Place..

Please take a moment to sign my guest book before you leave.

Thank you
