Fathers --- everyone has or had one.
Yet, it takes someone special to be called Daddy or Dad.  My father was a daddy to me and my two brothers and two sisters.  His family was very important to him.  Although, he may not have been available all the time ( he was in the Navy and sometimes was at sea anywhere from 6 to 9 months at a time) we still knew that he loved us and wanted the very best for each of us.

We lost our father to a heart attack on Dec 30, 1980 at the age of 56.  Much to young to leave behind a loving family.  This site is dedicated to my father

This was one of his proudest moments. He was bow hunting in Idaho.

Fathers Are Wonderful People

Fathers are
wonderful people
Too little understood,
And we do not
sing their praises
As often as we should

And Father struggles daily
To live up to his image
As protector and provider
And hero of the scrimmage

And perhaps that
is the reason
We sometimes get the notion
That Fathers are not subject
To the thing we call emotion,

But if you look inside
Dad's heart,
Where no one else can see,
You'll find he's sentimental
And as soft as he can be

Fathers are just wonderful
In a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments

And accolades of praise,
For the only reason
Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family
proud of him
And to bring them happiness

And like Our
Heavenly Father,
He's a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we
can count on
To be always on our side.
